Helpful tips for Fox Run Pet Parents
Whether you're visiting us for the first time or have trusted us with your pet's care for years, we're happy to have you as part of the Fox Run family. Our goal is to provide exceptional care while helping you keep your pets healthy and happy. In this newsletter, you'll find helpful reminders, tips, and important information to make your experience with us as smooth as possible.

Schedule Appointments Online
Need to book an appointment? Visit our website and click the "Schedule an Appointment" button. Select your appointment type and preferred provider (or Any Veterinarian!), and be sure to include the reason for your visit in the Special Requests section so our team can better prepare for your pet's appointment.
Ask About Drop-Off Exams
If you can't find an appointment time that works with your schedule, give us a call! We may have a drop-off exam available. With a drop-off appointment, your pet stays with us for the day while our medical team performs their exam and any recommended diagnostics or treatments. We'll contact you with updates and a pick-up time once their visit is complete.
Technician Appointments Available
Technician appointments are a convenient option for select services and do not require a doctor visit. To qualify, your pet must be up to date on their yearly wellness exam and rabies vaccination. Services available through technician appointments include nail trims, anal gland expressions, Cytopoint injections, surgery rechecks, pre-surgical bloodwork, heartworm testing, and select vaccines such as Leptospirosis, Bordetella, Canine Influenza, FVRCP, and Feline Leukemia.
Scheduling Surgery
Surgical procedures cannot be scheduled online, so please call our hospital to reserve your pet's surgery date. Before surgery, pets should have no food after 10:00 PM the night before, though water is permitted. Surgery drop-off begins at 7:30 AM on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Fridays, and 8:30 AM on Tuesdays.
Urgent Care & Emergency Surgery
When your pet has an unexpected illness or injury, we do our very best to be there for you. We strive to accommodate our clients' urgent care, same-day illness, and emergency surgery needs whenever possible. If you don't see a same-day appointment available through our online scheduler, please give us a call. For concerns such as lacerations, foreign body ingestion, trauma, or other urgent conditions, we'll work with you to determine the best way to get your pet the care they need as quickly as possible.

Fox Run Vet Hospital proudly offers specialty services through MOVES. Our specialty team includes Internal Medicine with Dr. Smith, Oncology & Chemotherapy with Dr. Arthur, and Specialty Surgery with Dr. Swiderski & Dr. Desandre-Robinson. Please contact us to learn more or schedule a consultation.
Home Euthanasia Services
We understand that saying goodbye to a beloved pet is never easy. For families seeking a more comfortable and peaceful experience, we offer home euthanasia services. We have expanded this to include availability every day of the week during our business hours. Please contact our team and ask to speak with one of our Sympathy & Memorial Care Coordinators if you would like more information or wish to schedule an appointment.

Cat Boarding at Our Catmosphere Cat Hotel
Planning a trip? Our Catmosphere Cat Hotel offers luxury boarding accommodations designed exclusively for cats. We feature spacious 3'×3' and 4'×4' condos with floor-to-ceiling shelving and windows, starting at $31 per night. We also offer larger family condos that can accommodate up to three cats, with an additional $10 per night for each extra cat. To book boarding please fill out the Catmosphere Boarding Form on our website.
We can administer medications while your cat boards with us for $8 per day for oral medications and $14 per day for injectable medications. Per Colorado PACFA requirements, all boarding cats must be current on their FVRCP and rabies vaccinations and have a negative fecal parasite test within the past six months. If needed, we can perform fecal testing while your cat is boarding with us.
Texting
We're excited to offer text messaging as another convenient way to communicate with our team! You can now text Fox Run Veterinary Hospital at 855-962-3391 for non-urgent questions, appointment requests, prescription refills, and updates. We'll also use text messaging to send vaccine reminders, let you know when prescriptions are ready for pickup, and occasionally provide updates while your pet is in the hospital for surgery or a drop off appointment.
When texting us, please include your full name and your pet's name so we can quickly locate your account. Please note that text messages are monitored during business hours only and should not be used for urgent or emergency concerns. For anything urgent, please call the hospital directly.
Requesting Prescription Refills
Need a prescription refill? Simply visit our website and click the "Prescription Refill" button on the home page to complete our online refill request form. Please allow 48 business hours for your veterinarian to review and approve the request and for our team to prepare your pet's medication. Planning ahead helps ensure your pet never misses a dose!
